In May, 1997 I went on a business trip to China for almost 3 weeks. The 2 weekends
included in the trip allowed me to do some tourist traveling and my hosts were very kind
to take me around to various sites. The following 7 chapters were written in a kind of
diary form and were originally sent to family and friends by email during the trip.
